Mercator Lines Oil Tanker Conversion to FSO - SSE completed the F&G detection and Releasing System for customer's and Lloyd's Register surveyors' satisfaction. The scope include Det-Tronics addressable "EQP" F&G system; Det-Tronics F&G detectors (flame, gas, H2S, smoke, heat, etc); Cabling (Armoured and Non-Armoured) and Junction Boxes for all F&G devices; Medc manual call -points, sounders, beacons; Fulleon sounder and beacon; Sea-water deluge system; IMT Status Lights Control Panel and Perimeter Lights. One key element in SSE's scope of supply was assisting Mercator to achieve LR type approval for F&G system including F&G philosophy, F&G system specification, layouts, Voting + Cause and effect, F&G system panel, F&G datasheets, etc. Best wishes to Mercator Lines in achieving successful 1st Oil in March 2011 :)
